Hello. My name is Patrick Gaido aka the Home Computer Doctor. The two heros you see in the picture on my left are the mascots for my business. Mr. Matrix and Chip. Below them is a picture of me.  As a proud business owner, my goal is simple. When a citizen calls out for help, it is my sworn duty to assist them with their computer issues in anyway possible. Let me explain.

Home Computer Doctor is my base of operations. It was designed roughly two years ago to promote freelance IT services. This includes website design, network installation, computer repair and building computers. I service the following areas in Southern Houston:

I provide support for people who are tired of taking their computer to a computer store and either buying a new one or having it fixed at the store. What most non-IT people don't realize is that if your computer is slow it doesn't mean you need a new computer. It either has spyware or viruses infecting it. Plus, regular routine maintenance will keep your computer running smoothly.

One of the most commonly asked questions in the computer field is; What is spyware and how does it get on your computer? Spyware are small programs that run in the background on your PC. They 'hide' themselves from the user and perform tasks that typically invade your privacy. They do literally 'spy' on you and can make it difficult for you to find and remove them. These spyware programs come bundled with free downloadable programs from the internet. They can slow down your computer and run programs without your direct knowledge.

Most non-IT users don't even know how to keep their computer clean of viruses and spyware. Not only that, regular maintenance is essential in keeping your computer from slowing down or crashing. I have provided a simple list of tasks to perform on a regular basis so you won't have to take your PC to the store at the first sign of it slowing down.
